Ricky Nelder vs. Rob Boardman Official for BKB 17

Posted on Thursday 4th April

Ricky Nelder, Rob Boardman , BKB 17

Ricky Nelder is set to return to the BKB™ ring on June 8th, squaring off with undefeated Rob Boardman in the Indigo at the O2 Arena.

Rob Boardman (2-0 in BKB, 6-0 boxing), who is coming off of a decision victory at BKB 16 against Martin Orsuliak, is now set to take on Ricky Nelder (9-3-1 in BKB) at the up-and-coming BKB 17 pay-per-view event on June 8th.

Earning a recent win of his own, Nelder brings forth the greater bare-knuckle boxing experience, but up against someone who has displayed flawlessness with and without the use of gloves.

Nelder is coming off of a win over Eric Olsen at BKB 15, victorious by way of doctor stoppage in the later rounds. Olsen, in an interview with Adam LeBarr, stated he landed shots that would have put anyone else away - shots absorbed by Ricky Nelder, leaving no question as to how tough and durable he is.

Boardman, who trains out of Somerset with fellow teammates Mark Godbeer and Mason Shaw, will look to extend his BKB winning streak to an unblemished 3-0 record, similar to the unmarked statistics earned as a professional boxer.

Last competing with gloves on in November of 2017, Boardman has made nothing less than a successful transition to the ever-growing sport of BKB. Now set to face off with one of the more experienced bare-knuckle fighters, Rob Boardman has the opportunity to solidify a position among those at the top.

BKB 17 will be live from the Indigo at the O2 Arena in London, England on June 8th. In addition to Nelder vs. Boardman, also recently announced, Jimmy Sweeney will welcome former WBC champion, Edgar Puerta to the world of gloveless combat. Burns vs. Thompson and the ‘Prize Fighter’ finals also join the expanding lineup of fights.
